} Let them see you VOTE! Take your kids with you – vote early – stand in line – take them behind the curtain. This simple act will leave a lasting impact on their hearts.
} Register your teens as a RITES of PASSAGE – build-up anticipation for this coming of age event.
} Stock your home library with books rich in patriotic content both from the US and abroad.
} Quote often – those who’ve gone before us and paved the way to freedom.
} Remember our heroes both past and present.
} Inspire nobility in everyday life – ignite their God-given desire for greatness and direct this energy in meekness and humility.
} Cultivate an appreciation for American history – read stories of the great Americans who have developed our land and formed society for the good. In addition to books, I suggest Liberty Kids for grade-school aged kids. (we watch them for free online)
} Reserve patriotic holidays and celebrate big!
} Sing along with patriots from our past – I suggest Wee Sing America for little ones.
} Be a student of our Constitution – your little ones may be the very ones to defend this document that has secured our liberties.
I’d love to hear YOUR ideas on fostering patriotism at home. Please leave a comment and/or follow us on Facebook where the conversation continues.
